WW+P Social Value in Oxford
WW+P have undertaken a range of social value activities throughout Oxford, working closely with local people as part of our ongoing project work. Our work aligns with the council priorities of creating a fair economy, fostering thriving communities and delivering a zero carbon Oxford.
We utilised our expertise to deliver an ‘Ask the Architect’ session with the Rosehill and Iffley Low Carbon Group, discussing simple retrofit steps that can be taken by homeowners to reduce their energy consumption. We also used our understanding of low-carbon retrofit to support the 8th Oxford Scouts, providing input for a funding application.

We have volunteered our time with ATTheBus to assist in the preparation of an art therapy space at a local school and also provided funding for the space.

To assist in addressing the skills gap in STEM careers, particularly in construction, we undertook a range of support activities in education and employment skills development. We attended the OxLEP Careers Fest, and also worked with UTC Oxfordshire in delivering curriculum support sessions and providing work experience placements for their students. Alongside this, we worked with Youth Action Oxford, based at the Rosehill Community Centre, with sessions focused on CV-writing, cover letters and employment skills.
