Camera enforced points on identified roads that will require private vehicles passing through to have a permit.
The scheme aims to reduce traffic in order to make bus journeys faster and make walking and cycling safer. The scheme is to be initially implemented as an experimental trial for up to 18 months following which a decision will be made on whether to make the traffic filters permanent. Two of the filters are within Oxford West End however there are six in total which are all required to work together as a strategic cross-city measure.

The scheme is being delivered by Oxfordshire County Council. Public engagement and approval for the experimental trial was undertaken in 2022. An estimated £6.458m is being invested into the development and implementation of the infrastructure and supporting systems.
